About:

This short workshop will identify and unwrap the risks associated with the use of Contractors (Subbies) on projects, whether it be for Construction or other facility requirements.

Most organisations round the globe will have their own internal management systems, which they believe are sufficient to ensure supply chains are suitable and safe for the work required. Despite this and including regular monitoring and audits, unless the employer fully understands what ‘really’ motivates Contractors, all can be lost. Both for production, contractual and safety related incidences.

By understanding the common challenges of both clients and contractors it allows OHS practitioners to navigate their way to ensure a ‘win, win’ for all parties involved.

John shall, via his knowledge within the contractor environment over the last 40 years, guide participants through the risk areas which can be pre-empted and the means to overcome, thus preventing issues arising.

By applying Johns well tested systems used within the construction environment and linking them to general facilities management, delegates will leave with adequate tools to embed them into their own workplace situation.
